| An exploration of the boundaries between temptation and compulsion, sensuality and pleasure, appearance and reality. Performed within an original installation, including video, with artist-designed costuming.
In the spirit of indulgence which underscores the piece, wine and chocolate will be served.

Artist's Statement:
Follow me into the mysteries of 'My Sugar's Candy' on Dec 1st at the Canal Gallery in Holyoke.
'A woman spot-lit and wearing lingerie, red lipstick, and diamonds flirtatiously performs for the camera. She provocatively starts to nibble on her bra. She smiles at the camera and licks her lips. Soon the spectators realize that her garments are made out of candy. This makes her doubly sweet. As the video continues her wearable snack becomes her growing compulsion. She animalisticly shovels pieces of her costume into her mouth. She vomits and sinks to the floor stricken by her experience.'
You will be lulled into a reality where beauty and pleasure is not quite what it seems. you'll wander through the web of the work and get lost in the intermixings of video, performance, and installation design. Come enjoy wine and chocolate and indulge in the delights of the space.
